Mark Bowers

Real Estate/Club Start-up/High Performance Player Development

In 2016, Mark identified a market need in his community and built a permanent dome housing six tennis courts. This facility also served a personal purpose for Mark, providing a training base for his two children, Tyler and Ashton.

Mark played a pivotal role in Tyler and Ashton’s high-performance development, leading to Tyler achieving a top 30 national ranking and Ashton reaching an ITF world ranking of #42. Currently, Tyler plays at the University of Illinois, and Ashton, the 7th highest-ranked female under 19 in the world, has signed a Letter of Intent to play at the University of Texas.

Once Tyler and Ashton no longer needed a home training base, Mark adapted to changing market demands by retrofitting three of the tennis courts into an indoor turf space during the COVID-19 lockdowns. This transformation not only met community needs but also significantly improved the business’s profit margins.

The conversion set his facility apart as a premier destination. The versatile turf field attracted baseball/softball training, 6v6 soccer, lacrosse training, and football field goal training. Additionally, the retrofit included a dedicated pickleball court and blended pickleball lines on the three remaining tennis courts.

Mark has truly done it all. While developing two world-class junior players, he managed the construction of a facility from an empty plot of land, developed it into a successful tennis center, reinvented it to reach new heights, and achieved a successful exit.
